ACSR is a concentric-lay stranded conductor composed of one or more layers of hard-drawn 1350-H19 aluminum wires helically wrapped around a galvanized high-tensile steel core. This combination leverages the high conductivity and lightweight nature of aluminum with the superior tensile strength of steel, making ACSR ideal for long-span overhead transmission lines, river crossings, and areas prone to high mechanical stresses. The steel core provides additional strength without significantly increasing the conductor's weight, allowing for longer spans and reduced sag.
